ABOUT ABOUT

Narrative | Philippines | 96 min.
In the Philippines, there are bodies of water said to be guarded by elementals which when disturbed, would drag people down to its depths – never to return. Ilawod, the Tagalog word for “downstream”, is the story of a journalist whose family is plagued and possessed by the elemental of water with the same name. What follows is a battle not just for the family’s lives, but for their souls as well.
